Name: Karino Aya (狩野 綾)

Short Bio : Karino Tadashi's younger sister. After they graduated, she became a freshman at Hakusenkan and became the school Rank #1 after taking the entrance exam. And since she's 16 and their mother is expecting that every Karino has a boyfriend/girlfriend when they reached that age, she had her best friend, Keisuke Hiwatari to act as her boyfriend.
She is supposed to be attending Kokusekan, but since her mother is the school chairman of Hakusenkan, she is forced to attend Hakusenkan too. Her mother threatened her too that if she got the rank below 5th, she'll be severely punished, but just laughs that off, saying that her mother wouldn't do that to her. Obviously, she hasn't been punished by her mother since she always achieves the top spot without her trying too hard, and that caused the rift between her and her classmates in her previous schools.
She studied in America since she was in pre-school and that's why she doesn't want to go back to Japan on the first place, saying that she's not used on Japanese life. Though she's not staying on Japan, she loves Japanese food. She would order sushi, tempura and other common japanese foods as her lunch or dinner. She would ask their cook to make a bento for her lunch.
Aya loves to drink tea and is often in Akira's house for afternoon tea. She makes a decent tea herself, but prefers to drink Akira's tea concoctions. Her favorite teas are Earl Grey from England and the musky Assam tea from India.
Before going back to Japan, her mother had forced her to attend an omiai [marriage interview] for she had sensed that Aya and Keisuke are only putting up an act, but the omiai went from worse to worst. The guy she met, Satoshi Takeyanagi, was beat up by Keisuke [and Tadashi, though he never confessed] for making a vulgar comment about Aya and the way she dressed that night. Aya's mother punished Keisuke for his insolent act and had threatened him that if he gets on the way of Aya's matchmaking session, he would pay severely.
Personality: Aya is a charismatic young girl and can bend anyone into her capricious whims [thus resulting Keisuke to be her "boyfriend"]. She can charm anyone with her smile and her pout.
She could be cheerful at times, but Aya is painfully shy. She would never talk to anyone [aside from Keisuke, Akira and Tadashi] unless she needs to. She's also very sensitive and can't take harsh criticisms. Not only that, Aya's the clingy type and she's rarely seen without Keisuke on her side.
Aya tries to shield herself away from the negative side of the world and she wouldn't take a second glance on the things that would take away her positive outlook in life.
